County announces holiday closures

LĪHU‘E – In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, along with all refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha Landfill.

In addition, all of the neighborhood centers and the Sunshine Market in Kōloa will be closed on the holiday.

The Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools, which are normally closed on Mondays, will observe the holiday on Tuesday, Jan. 16, and will resume their normal hours on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

All of the HI-5 bottle redemption centers will also be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on a modified schedule on the holiday.

         • Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
