Ron Wood

Born on Maui, but raised as an “army brat”, before returning.  Ron is a former Oahu and neighbor island radio & televison personality of over 40 years.  Ron worked on the top radio stations on Oahu, from KKUA in the early 70’s to top rated KSSK in the 80’s & 90’s.  He also worked in the Denver and San Francisco radio market.  He was the radio voice and on-camera spokesperson for many Oahu businesses.

He’s also hosted the Kauai Visitor Information Channel for 13 years.  After 15 years away from radio, he’s returned, to hold down the mid-day show of the station he helped get started back in 1988, Fm 97 at 96.9, on the island of Kaua’i.  He left for in June 2014 to try just try something new.  He returned almost 2 years later after realizing you can take the man out-of-radio but you can’t take the radio out-of-the man.  He enjoys performing on the theatrical stage and playing senior softball.  He generously gives back to the community in many ways.    His motto, “always ive Aloha..”!
