Kaua‘i CERT announces annual refresher course for members

LĪHU‘E – Kaua‘i’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) has announced its annual refresher training course will be held on Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Kaua‘i High School, in Līhu‘e.

The one-day course will be limited to certified CERT members only.

The course is designed to help strengthen the skills that CERT volunteers have learned throughout their education. Skill stations during the training will include: emergency triage and bleeding control; lifting/cribbing and light search and rescue; post-disaster damage assessment; and radio communications.

Kaua‘i CERT members are encouraged to register for the course by emailing kfdcert@kauai.gov.
